A: Some truck bed rails have holes in them to insert things (like wooden stakes or poles), and some do not. Our bed rail caps come with or without the holes to match the actual truck bed rail stake pocket holes. When ordering your truck bed rail caps from TruckChamp, be sure to choose the type which matches your truck.
A: Ultraviolet radiation is emitted by the sun and is harmful to humans and materials, particularly rubber and plastics. The UV stable material used for our Truck Bed Rail Caps and Truck Tail Gate Caps is manufactured to deflect UV rays and therefore protect them from damage and fading.
A: We use anodized aluminum in some of our Truck Bed Rails. This type of aluminum is electrochemically processed, which alters the molecular structure and therefore hardens the surface, making it resistant to rust, stains, and scratches.
A: Stainless steel, which contains at least 10% chromium and possibly additional alloys, resists rust and corrosion. It is extremely durable and maintains its strength, even in extreme temperatures. It can be matt or polished; Truck Champ’s tubular truck bed rails are polished to a mirror finish.
A: The Truck Bed Rail Caps prevent dents, damage, and unsightly scratches when moving something out of your truck bed.
A: Type 304 stainless steel tubing, used in our Tubular Truck Bed Rails, is the most versatile and a widely used stainless steel. It is an austenitic (nonmagnetic solid solution of ferric carbide or carbon in iron that is used in making corrosion-resistant steel) grade that can be severely deep drawn.
A: You will want to clean your truck bed carefully before mounting any accessories because trapped dirt can harm the paint. Additionally, regular washing and drying will help prevent buildup of dirt. Make sure you understand the capacity of your truck because overloading of materials can create unwanted dents and scratches to the truck bed and also lower your fuel efficiency.
